A Classical Christmas BrisbaneAged Care Facilities December 2018
Serenade String Quartet
The sun sets, the fairy lights twinkle and the champagne flows. Beautiful music perfumes the air, the Serenade String Quartet has arrived!
Serenade String Quartet is a brisbane-based string quartet specialising in parties, weddings, functions, soirees and private concerts.
Choosing only the best repertoire, the quartet plays a range of styles including classical, jazz, celtic and pop.
This year we are proud to announce that we will be presenting special concerts for senior citizens and aged care: A Classical Christmas. These concerts are flexible to the needs and musical tastes of our audience. Upon consultation we will create a special program that may be interactive with singing and carols or something that is more reflective in a concert style. Our goal is to uplift and to bring joy to our audience in ways that is meaningful to them. These concerts may also be a solo violin recital, a performance with voice and piano or a string trio depending on appropriateness, facilities and budget.
Music is so powerful in so many ways, it connects us to the past, makes the present special and brings hope for the future. It is a art that everyone can enjoy regardless of age or experience. It can suspend worry and illness and bring light and joy into our lives.

In 2017 Ellie was a founding member of two chamber ensembles - the Byrne Harrison Scalia Trio (Daniel Byrne Clarinet, Natalie Scalia Piano) and Les Trois Graces (Anna Coe Flute, Linley Chai Harp).
The BHS Trio studied core repertoire for the group including Schumann Fairytales, Bruch Eight Pieces and Mozart Kegelstatt Trio and also commissioned new repertoire for the group from emerging Brisbane composers.
Les Trois Graces has so far focused on french composers with the intricate Debussy Trio and Jollivet's Petite Suite including a performance in Brisbane City Hall to an audience of a three hundred.
